I want to do more than trick or treat tonight with her.I want her to see how fun this night could be.How can make this Halloween fun for my lil girl?Shes 6yrs old,we are going trick or treat but I want to do mor
Some other ideas: Make marchmellow witchs together, put frosting along a marshmellow and roll it in colored suger, then place some frosting on the top, top with a round choclate coockie, a little more frosting..place a mini peanutbutter cup on the cookie upside-down and then a dab more frosting and a hersey kiss, these are very sweet and we each can barely eat one, but they are a blast to make.
Another school age friendly activity, is to make melted monsters...Ahead of time make crayon shvings and cut out equal sized pieces of wax paper. Once ready have ur child lay out a monster in the paper, top it with anoth sheet of the paper and then place a towel over the creation, use an iron on low to melt the crayons. And presto melted monsters you can hang in the windows.
Hope this gives you some ideas. How can make this Halloween fun for my lil girl?Shes 6yrs old,we are going trick or treat but I want to do mor
take her to mall. maybe let her give out some candy for about five minutes. let her stay out until 10 let her eat some of her candy. get her a baloon thats says trick or treat or something. maybe a bear to go along with it. some pjs to that have to with halloween
We dress up with our kids and grand kids and everyone goes trick or treat. We make all kinds of fun Halloween foods. We decorate the house. It's a fun day for the family. Sometimes when all the grand kids are here we play Halloween games and just have our very own family party.
My daughter, who is also 6, already absolutely loves Halloween. She and all her friends discuss who is dressing up as what for the night, and I think she told them about the party we went to over the weekend, and I am sure they are telling her about their experiences too. She has already done a Haunted House (with a lot of reassurance that everyone there was really just dressed up too), and we have done both trick-or-treating and going to alternative festivals that have games and stuff like that.
You have to dress up with her! I did this with my kids for several years. They got a kick out of Dad partaking at that level, plus I was usually something really stupid.
Well, depending on your religious preference, there is alot you can do. Halloween is actually a pagan holiday called Samhain, which is a day for honoring the dead loved ones who have passed on. (despite what you have heard about witches sacrificing babies or animals, which is highly untrue). You could do some baking with her and make sweets, you can do crafts with paper and glue to make halloween things like ghosts bats pumpkins etc... you can carve pumpkins (i LOVE doing that - and I'm 18!) You could decorate the house with her using cornstalks and gourds and things. You could find some pretty colored fall leaves and press them in books ( another samhain/autumn thing i love)
here is a link i found. I have not looked at everything in it, but it seems to have some fun things for kids :)

hope everything goes well for you this samhain!
Blessed Be!
