How can i watch mor than one channel of Direct TV?

I have never had Direct TV but I get it at work now. Last week the screen turned Black with the blue bar saying ';Requesting guide. Please wait...';


I can watch one channel (the channel it is on) if I press menu but I have to watch with the menu on and cannot change the channel. I am assuming there is something wrong with the guide but do not know how to fix it.How can i watch mor than one channel of Direct TV?
When it gives that message it's taking some information from the satellite and downloading programming authorizations. It sometimes take a few moments for it to do this.





If it gets stuck on this message you can always reset the receiver. The easiest way to do that is to unplug it for 15 seconds then plug it back in. Oftentimes that'll restart the process and get it working again.How can i watch mor than one channel of Direct TV?

First , you need a TV that support PIP feature , which is mean picture in picture


Then you need two different sources of video signals , for example , DVD player , satellite receiver .... etc


Finally , chose the proper source for each screen
