you mean the eight freedoms? of air travel?

1st.) Right to fly over another territory without landing

2nd.) Right to land in another territory for maintenance or refueling without deplaning

3rd.) Right of airline from country A, to land in country B and deplane passengers from country A

-american going to england

4th.) Right of an airline from country A, to go to country B, and pick up passengers from country B, and bring them back to country A

-american going to england, then back to america

5th.) Airline from country A, lands in country B to pick up MORE passengers, and then drops all of them off in country C

-American flying from america, to england, then to france

6th.) the right of an airline to carry traffic from country B, back to Country A (the country of origin), then to country C

-american flying from england, to the U.S. to Canada

7th.) the right of an airline to go from country B to C without stopping at home country

-american airlines flying pax from england to canada

8th) This is the freedom that almost no country permits

it's called Cabotage..and, for example, would be British airways, having non stop flights from new york to los angeles...in other words, a foreign airline with ';domestic'; travel in our country

(so if you're flying from Los Angeles to Australia, and you lanld in Hawaii for refueling..which is all legal to this point, BUT lets say Quantas, decides to bump you in Hawaii...that is illegal, you by law are NOT allowed to be forced off that plane..that would be cabotage)
