Is it unhealthy to lose mor than 2 pounds per week?

The reason i ask is because I been losing like 4.5 pounds a week.Is it unhealthy to lose mor than 2 pounds per week?
its healthy to lose 1-2lbs a week (except in the beginning or if you have a lot to lose). if you lose more than that you might be losing water weight and muscle which is gona come back as soon as you start eating normal.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.

dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.

eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)

5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day

8 glasses of water

have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy

have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle

cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training

dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.Is it unhealthy to lose mor than 2 pounds per week?
Losing weight at a slow and steady rate is the best way. Don't listen to the fast-weight-loss-advertising, as it is not healthy.

You need to keep track of your daily calorie intake. The amount of proper calorie intake for weighloss is determined by your weight, age, gender and body size.

You need to exercise because you don't want to lose muscle. By starving yourself you will lose weight, but you will be flabby and weak, and that is no good. Don't lose more than 2 pounds per week. Slow and steady is the motto to get lasting results.
Yes. Even two pounds a week is too fast. You will lose one pound a week (which is a safe rate that you can do indefinitely) by eating 500 fewer calories per day than you burn.
lol ..i usually lose about 10 or more pounds a week on a low carb diet ..which is unhealthier ..being fat or losing weight fast ..i say being fat ..take some vitamins and go with the flow ..and congrats on the weightloss
typically it is unhealthy. If you are just starting to diet (like the first two weeks) you may lose more weight from fluid loss. Try and stay hydrated so that this doesn't happen

Also if you are very obese then is is okay to lose weight more quickly because the risks associated with being so overweight outway the dangers of fast weight loss.
