take them to tiffany's...they should be the only ones to clean them....

Clean them. If you have a jewelery cleaner at home do it in there. Or take it to Tiffinys.
I prefer my jewelry clean,and I think you will find they look even more elegant after you have cleaned them with jewelery cleaner or sliver polish.
